The Delaware Woodworkers Guild*
*welcoming woodworkers of all skill levels

April, 2025: Community Service
The Delaware Woodworkers Guild built 7 book-shelf units and 2 furniture dollies for the Newark Senior Center semi-annual flea market. The units themselves would be of a height of 55-in, a length of 36-in and a depth of 12 inches. Each unit would have 5 shelves, 3 would be permanent (top, bottom, center) and 2 would be moveable. The goal is to provide better conditioned shelving units than what the Center had available to them within a 4 week timeframe. The construction of each unit was 3/4-in finished birch plywood for the carcass and a face-frame of 3/4-in x 1 1/2-in poplar. The members of the team that completed the project: Chuck Skelley, Randy Thomas, Dick Blaylock, Scott Rowe, Fred Noubani, John Kain, Art Ellis and Dave Skica.
The Delaware woodworkers guild is dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting local institutions.
